In a job like ours, we’re often asked to carry out some pretty strange requests as far as removals go – but we give a professional undertaking to treat every job, no matter the size or complexity – with the same level of care and attention.

Take the recent job we had in London where we had to move a pool table – something we routinely do, dismantling them, safely packing and transporting them to their new home where we reassemble them.

But this job had an added twist. Not only did we need to move it from a relatively high block of flats, but from a wooden ‘shed’ structure attached to the side of the fourth floor flat!

Our team successfully navigated the precarious positioning of the (very expensive) pool table to move it, dismantle it, carry the separate (very heavy) sections through the building down four flights of stairs to our waiting removal vans, wrap it and store it securely before driving it (very carefully) to its new location in Reading, Berkshire. On arrival, we set about rebuilding it in its new house – thankfully a more traditional low level building without the need to worry about add-on structures!

Our pre-removal day discussions had revealed we needed to take extra precautions with the red velvet pool table top and on moving day, we arrived well prepared with a protective covering and security straps to keep it and the slate base safe in transit.

Although it was a single item lift, this was most definitely a two person job to pick up, carry and rebuild a prize possession valuable table.

And our team’s professionalism shone through at all stages of the job – pre-moving day briefing, preparation, preparedness on the day of moving house, flexibility, strength, experience and co-operation.   

We put a much effort and customer care into this job as we would a four bedroom detached house move.
